May the venerable intercession of the glorious Virgin Mary

and my revenue than choice silver.
On the way of duty I walk,
along the paths of justice,
granting wealth to those who love me,
and filling their treasuries.
“Happy the person watching daily at my gates,
waiting at my doorposts;
for the one who finds me finds life,
and wins favor from the Lord.”

Thus says the Lord:
Observe what is right, do what is just;

and hold to my covenant,

Extending his hands toward the disciples, he said: Here are my mother and my brothers.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew
While Jesus was speaking to the crowds,
his mother and his brothers appeared outside,
wishing to speak with him.
Someone told him, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside,
asking to speak with you.”
But Jesus said in reply to the one who told him,
“Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said,
“Here are my mother and my brothers.
For whoever does the will of my heavenly Father
is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother

The mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house.

“Who are my mother and my brothers and my sisters?”
And looking around at those seated in the circle Jesus said,

Lord, we offer these gifts from joyful hearts;
through them sanctify your servants,
whom the Blessed Virgin instructs by her example
and watches over by her patronage,

we may serve you and our neighbor with sincerity of heart.

The Blessed Virgin, Our Mother, Lovingly Encourages Her Children

The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
Lift up your hearts.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
R. It is right and just.
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
and, as we celebrate the memory of Blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
to praise, to bless, and to proclaim your holy name.
So intimately does she share in the mystery of Christ
that she is still a mother,
continuing to give you children with the Church,
encouraging them by her love,
and drawing them by her example
to pursue perfect charity.
She is the model
of all who live by the spirit of the Gospel;
as we look up to her in prayer
we learn from her mind
to love you above all things,
from her spirit
to be rapt in contemplation of your Word,
and from her heart
to serve the needs of others.
In our joy we sing to your glory
with all the choirs of Angels:

Mary treasured all these words,

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
Lord God,
you have given us new strength
through the Sacrament
of the Sacred Body and Precious Blood of your Son;
grant that this gift of your love
may be our lasting protection
and inspire us to follow faithfully
in the footsteps of the Blessed Virgin Mary
by imitating her virtues.
Through Christ our Lord.
