5 pm: Ecumenical Celebration of the New Martyrs-Witnesses of the Faith in the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls; at the conclusion of the liturgy, the Pope was greeted with birthday wishes from the representatives of the other Christian Churches and Communions in the sacristy and later the Cardinals in the Pinacoteca Hall.

9.15 - 11 am: Meeting in the Augustinianum with the participants in the General Chapter of the Order of Saint Augustine.
5 pm: Jubilee of Consolation: Prayer Vigil "Restoring Hope, Drying the Tears"
In the evening, the Holy Father went to Villa Barberini in Castel Gandolfo for a one-day rest.

9.16 - Audience for His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and entourage.
A telegram of condolence was sent by the Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin on behalf of the Holy Father to HM King Charles III on the occasion of the funeral of HRH Katharine, Duchess of Kent.
