1st FOREIGN APOSTOLIC PILGRIMAGE
Turkey, Lebanon: 27 November - 2 December

Transfer by Popemobile to Annaya, 55 km north of Beirut.
12.1 - Annaya
9.45 am: Visit and prayer at the tomb of Saint Charbel Maklūf at the Monastery of Saint Maroun.

11.20 am: Meeting with Bishops, Priests, Consecrated Men and Women, and Pastoral Workers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon; listening to testimonies from a priest, a pastoral worker, the director of a Catholic school, and a prison chaplain; Gospel reading, speech, and presentation of the Golden Rose to the image of Our Lady of Lebanon.
Transfer by car to the Apostolic Nunciature in Beirut

12.30 pm: Private meeting with the Catholic Patriarchs in the Apostolic Nunciature.

4 pm: Ecumenical and Interreligious Meeting in the Martyrs’ Square in Beirut
Transfer by car to Bkerké, the episcopal see of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, northeast of Beirut.

5.45 pm: Meeting with young people in the square in front of the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch; the meeting was composed of a Gospel reading, a 5D stage presentation, listening to the testimony of two volunteers, a young woman, a young woman accompanied by her mother, and questions from two young men; speech; the rite of the "promise of peace and action of the young people"; the prayer of thanksgiving; and the Apostolic Blessing.
Transfer by car to the Apostolic Nunciature in Beirut.

Unscheduled meeting with the leaders of Lebanon's Islamic and Druze communities in the Apostolic Nunciature.

12.2 - Transfer by car to Jal ed Dib, 11km north of Beirut
8.30 am: Visit to staff and patients of the “De La Croix” Hospital in Jal ed Dib; the hospital is under the care of the Franciscan Sisters of the Cross, founded by Bl. Jacques Ghazir Haddad.
9.30 amSilent prayer at the site of the Beirut Port Explosion
10.30 amHoly Mass at the “Beirut Waterfront”; appeal at the end of Mass
12:45 pm: Farewell Ceremony at Beirut International Airport
1.15 pm: Departure by plane from Beirut International Airport to Rome
The ITA Airways flight AZ4001 departed Beirut at 1.48 pm [Beirut time]. The flight lasted 3 hours and 11 minutes, with a distance of 2307 km. The flight landed at 3.57 pm [Rome time].
A telegram was sent to the heads of state of Lebanon, Cyprus, Greece, and Italy.

12.5 - 9 am: Pope Leo XIV listened to the Advent sermon of the preacher of the Papal Household, Fr. Roberto Pasolini, OFM Cap., in the Paul VI Hall on the theme "Awaiting and hastening the coming of the day of God (2 Pt 3:12): Jubilee hope between waiting for the Lord and the universality of salvation."
10 am: Audience in the Consistory Hall for the participants in the conference “Artificial Intelligence and Care of Our Common Home” organized by the Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice Foundation and the Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities.
Audience for Andrej Plenković, President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, with his wife.
11 am: Audience in the Hall of Popes for the delegation of cardiologists from the “Paris Course on Revascularization.”
Audience for the Members of the Presidency of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
12 nnAudience in the Clementine Hall for the organizers and artists of the Concert with the Poor.

12.6 - 9 am: Audience in the Clementine Hall for the new ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Moldova, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Liberia, Thailand, Lesotho, South Africa, Fiji, Micronesia, Latvia, and Finland who presented their credentials.
10 am: Jubilee Audience
5.30 pm: Afternoon "Concert with the Poor" in the Paul VI Hall organized by the Dicastery for the Service of Charity and in collaboration with the Diocese of Rome featuring Michael Bublé, together with his band, the Choir of the Diocese of Rome, conducted by Monsignor Marco Frisina, and the Nova Opera Orchestra.

4 pm: Act of Veneration of Mary Immaculate at Piazza di Spagna; laying of flowers and recitation of a prayer. Before arriving at the Piazza, the Pope made a brief stop in front of the Church of the Holy Trinity, where he received homage from the Associazione Commercianti Via Condotti.

4 pm: Holy Mass in St. Peter's Basilica for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
6 pm: Annual Christmas Concert in the Paul VI Hall attended by the Holy Father, performed by the "Luigi Cherubini" Youth Orchestra and the "Guido Chigi Saracini" Choir of Siena Cathedral, conducted by Riccardo Muti, who was awarded by the Holy Father with the 2025 Ratzinger Prize.

12.13 - 8.45 am: Audience in the Hall of Blessing for the participants in the living nativity scene at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the nativity scene makers.

In the afternoon, the Holy Father received a telephone call from Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas holidays and of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.

12.18 - In the presence of the Holy Father, 5 decrees from the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints regarding beatification, martyrdom, and heroic virtues were promulgated.

12.23 - Weekly Rest at Castel Gandolfo

12.24 - 10 pm: Holy Mass in St. Peter's Basilica on the Holy Night of Christmas attended by 6000 faithful; before the Mass, the Holy Father delivered an improvised speech greeting the 5000 faithful present in St. Peter's Square who were following the Mass through the big screens. During the Mass, children from S. Korea, India, Mozambique, Paraguay, Poland, and Ukraine offered flowers for the Baby Jesus.

12.25 - Christmas Day
10 amHoly Mass in St. Peter's Basilica on the day of Christmas; after the Mass, the Pope toured the Square to greet the faithful gathered. 
12 nn: Christmas Message from the Central Loggia of St. Peter's Basilica; Christmas greetings in 10 languages; Urbi et Orbi blessing.

12.26 - 12 nnAngelus Domini
In the afternoon, the Pope traveled to Castel Gandolfo for rest.

12.27 - Message that the Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin sent—on behalf of the Holy Father —for the 48th European Youth Meeting organized by the Taizé Community in Paris (28 December 2025 - 1 January 2026)
