In the presence of the Holy Father, decrees from the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints regarding miracles and heroic virtues, as well as the confirmation of the cultus since time immemorial of the Servant of God Gabriel-Maria Nicolas, were promulgated.

11.45 am: Audience in the Clementine Hall for the participants in the “Policoro Project” of the Italian Episcopal Conference.

A telegram of condolence was sent to His Excellency Monsignor Jude Thaddaeus Ruwa'ichi, OFM Cap., Metropolitan Archbishop of Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania), on the passing of Cardinal Polycarp Pengo.
